Working here

Two ways on air

EchoRadio runs on volunteers. Right now we are looking for a Radio Presenter and a News Reporter — apply below with a 30-second clip of your voice.

On air

Radio Presenter

Host your own show, pick the music and talk to the listeners while it plays.

What you would do

  • Run a live or pre-recorded slot on the timetable
  • Choose the running order and take requests as they land
  • Keep a recognisable show that listeners come back for

Who fits

  • Good taste in music and a voice people can follow
  • Comfortable talking live for an hour at a time
  • Free for a regular slot, most weeks
Apply as presenter
Newsroom

News Reporter

Chase stories, write the bulletins and put station news on the site first.

What you would do

  • Find and write short news items for the site and links
  • Cover music and station events as they happen
  • Keep an eye on the community for things worth reporting

Who fits

  • Writes clearly and quickly without needing rewrites
  • Checks facts before publishing, every time
  • Cares about music, radio or both
Apply as reporter

Apply in a minute

Record up to 30 seconds of yourself — a hello, a song pitch, anything — or upload a clip you already have. The clip is optional, but it helps a lot.

Your 30-second clip

Optional — WebM, MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV, FLAC or AAC, maximum 30 seconds (6 MB).

How it works

Both roles are volunteer and agreed rather than assumed — nobody is expected to be available all the time. We read every application, listen to every clip, and reply by email either way. If nothing is open for you today, the vacancy news and a note through contact keep you in the loop.

The people you would work with are on the team page.
