Who we are and what EchoRadio is about.
What we are
EchoRadio is an independent online radio station. We broadcast a mix of shows and a continuous stream, run by the people who turn up and do the work: presenters, producers, moderators and a handful of developers keeping the site standing.
There is no subscription and no paywall. The stream is free to listen to, and almost every part of the site works without an account.
How it runs
The timetable shows who is on and when. Outside of live shows the stream carries on with station music, so the frequency never goes quiet. Requests come in through the site, are checked by hand, and go to the presenter on air.
We keep a public record of what listeners enjoy. The like leaderboard tracks the most-liked songs, and station news covers anything that changes.
Who is behind it
The staff list sits on the team page, department by department, and the wider listener community is on the community page. If you want to know what people are actually like to work with, those two pages are a better answer than any mission statement.
Getting in touch
For anything that is not a song request, use the contact page. Questions about using the site are answered on the FAQs.
